Whether he’s helping clients make informed decisions and achieve the goals they’ve been working towards, or getting creative in the kitchen and testing new recipes for friends and family, he’s all about finding ways to make people smile.

Wealth Management isn’t what it once was, thanks to people like Tom. After receiving his engineering degree, he spent many years building a successful career as a leader in the telecom industry.  However, Tom always felt like something was missing - he wanted to have a bigger impact on people’s lives. After his own financial advisor suggested he join the business, he made the leap. Tom founded LifeGuide Financial with a vision of providing more comprehensive planning than your average advisory firm, and building trusted, life-changing relationships with his clients. Having built LifeGuide Financial from the ground up 25 years ago, Tom helps hardworking Alberta families map out the life they’ve been working towards. His greatest sense of satisfaction comes from the knowledge that he’s made a tangible difference in people’s lives. A close second would be travelling with Joanne and family to interesting parts of the world and learning what it takes to make a great wine. 

Having worked in financial institutions for 35 years, Lorraine has seen a lot of clients looking for guidance. The most rewarding aspect of her job has always been witnessing those clients reach their goals. As for her own goals outside of work, Lorraine loves the simple pleasures: spending time with family and friends, taking in a great concert, and keeping busy in the garden.

Lisa’s career has consisted of administration work for over 30 years, and for the last 20 she’s been learning the ropes of the financial planning industry. What she finds most satisfying about her role is being able to take the stress off of a client’s plate, and allow them to focus on achieving their goals and dreams. When she’s not assisting other families through her work, she’s spending time with her own, and rolling up her sleeves with a home improvement project.

Jeffrey’s knack for helping people lies in his ability to see how things work. His penchant for mechanical thinking led him to study the inner workings of the human body with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. As a numbers guy, Jeffrey most enjoys figuring out if a client’s financial plan is feasible, and what adjustments need to be made. It’s also what inspires him to take computers apart, fix them up, and put them back together, just for fun.

After 21 years in the industry, Joanne knows how special it is to not only work with great people, but to work for a company focused on helping others. When she’s not keeping the books managing all of the behind-the-scenes tasks required to keep the office running smoothly, she focuses her passion for people on her family, taking photos and videos of her loved ones, and making cakes for her grandchildren.
